The Oyo State Government has expressed concern over the proliferation of illegal structures such as shops and shanties across the State.
Executive Assistant to the State Governor on Security, Mr Sunday Odukoya gave the warning during a demolition exercise on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The Executive Assistant to the Governor, who explained that the demolition exercise was to curb crime, implored owners of such structures to relocate to designated areas .
He maintained that the government would prosecute anyone who disregarded the government order .
Some of the affected traders called on the State government to provide alternative spaces , rather than enforcing relocation to government constructed stalls or shops elsewhere.
