Security has been strengthened in Osogbo ahead of the grand finale of Osun – Osogbo festival scheduled for tomorrow.
Commissioner of Police in Osun State,Ibrahim Gotan disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen.
According to the statement signed by the Force Public Relations Officer, Abiodun Ojelabi, the CP said Policemen and Tactical units have been deployed to Strategic places while adequate logistics have also been put in place to prevent any breakdown of law and order.
According to the statement,the commissioner of police admonished parents and guardians to caution their wards against any unruly behaviour, maintaining that the force would not treat any form of violence and hooliganism with kid gloves.
CP Gotan called on the public not to hesitate to support the police with relevant information in case of any infraction of the law.
