Osun Gov Issues New Directives To MDAs

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has reviewed key government policies and issued new directives to ministries, departments and agencies, MDAs

The Governor in a meeting which lasted for hours on Friday night analysed a sector by sector appraisal of government activities and reaffirmed his administration’s commitments to delivering the dividends of democracy in spite the prevailing economic factors.

Governor Adeleke while addressing the cabinet members expressed satisfaction with the level of endorsements and encomiums his government has enjoyed from different groups and individuals in the state.

He described the endorsements and the ratings as validations that his government is performing, charging his cabinet members not to relent.

“Despite the challenges facing us, we are fulfilling our obligations especially in critical areas of governance,” the Governor said.

Speaking on the state of infrastructure in Osun state, governor Adeleke specifically mentioned the dualisation of ilesa, ile Ife flyover, the Oke fia/Lameco flyover and the Iwo dualisation, noting that the timelines deadline will be met.

In the power sector, the governor directed the commissioner for energy to with immediate effect develop an Implementation plan for the newly passed state electricity market law, with support from the Electricity Regulatory Commission. He also ordered the ministry of agriculture to revive and expand Statewide Youth Agropreneurship Project across all local governments

The meeting which ended with the adoption of the governor’s resolutions of high-powered committee, approved the elevation of several minor chiefs which saw the confirmation of Prince Adeleke Saheed Adeyemi as the new Olokusa of Okusa in Egbedore Local government of the state
