Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja has been described as a man of destiny whose perseverance, patience and contentment should be emulated in the Society.
The Araba of Ibadanland, Chief Ifalere Odegbola stated this while speaking during the Thanksgiving visit to the Isese worshippers at Osemeji Temple, Oja’ba, Ibadan, Oyo State.
Chief Odegbola maintained that, Oba Ladoja had written his name in gold in the hearts of the people, particularly Ibadan Indigenes with his belief in culture, tradition, justice and fairness, hence the support he is receiving from the public.
He, however, prayed in traditional way for the new Olubadan to experience longevity on the throne with good health to rule Ibadan as the best ever.
Responding, the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Ladoja canvassed for prayers from all as he realized the expectations of the people from were enormous, saying he would try all his best by the Grace of God not to betray the trust reposed in him.
In a remark, the Ekarun Balogun of Ibadanland, who is also the Senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Sharafadeen Alli noted that, Oba Ladoja would be the first Olubadan to visit Osemeji House after Coronation for Thanksgiving.
He urged the Isese Worshippers to always remember the monarch in their prayers
Among the dignitaries who accompanied the Olubadan of Ibadanland were, former Lawmaker, Senator Teslim Folarin, President General, Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes, CCII, Alhaji Ajeniyi Ajewole, Mogajis, Families and Friends of the Monarch.
With the Thanksgiving at Osemeji Temple, all the Lined up Coronation activities have been concluded.
It would be recalled that Oba Rashidi Ladoja was Coronated as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland on Friday, 26th of last month, succeeding Oba Akinloye Owolabi-Olakulehin who joined his ancestors in July this year.
