Olori Rashidat Olayinka Ladoja on Friday observed Special Jumat Service with her husband, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja to thank Almighty Allah for the ascension to the throne and successful Coronation of the Monarch held on September 26th, 2025 in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Olori Rashidat who joined other Muslim faithful at Central Mosque, Oja’ba, Ibadan was full of gratitude to Almighty Allah for sparing the life of her husband to ascend the throne of his forebearers as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Olori Rashidat said, Oba Ladoja is a lover of Ibadanland and a man of destiny who would promote religious tolerance and ensure peaceful coexistence among all the indigenes and residents of the ancient city, calling on people to support him in his quest to make Ibadan greater and more peaceful.
She appealed to them to always see the Olubadan of Ibadanland as a Traditional Ruler with eyes on socio-economic development, youth empowerment and prosperity for all in Ibadan and beyond, admonishing them to always remember the Monarch in their prayers for good health and sound mind.
At the Coronation Special Jumat Service, the Chief Imam of Ibadanland and Grand Imam of Oyo State, Sheikh Abd-Ganiyy Abubakry Agbotomokekere led the Sermon and prayers for the new Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja with Thousands of Muslims in attendance.
Dignitaries at the Jumat Service included, Senator Sharafadeen Alli who is representing Oyo South Senatorial District; Senator Abdulfatai Buhari, representing Oyo North Senatorial District; Former Senate Leader, Senator Teslim Folarin; Senator who represented Oyo South between 2015 to 2019, Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi; Former Secretary to the State Government, SSG, in Osun State, Alhaji Fatai Akinbade; President General, Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes, CCII, Alhaji Ajeniyi Ajewole; former President General, CCII and the Central Chairman Coronation Committee, Chief Bayo Oyero; several Imams and Alfas among others.
