The former All Progressives Congress national secretary senator Iyiola Omisore and other six aspirants have been disqualified from participating in the forthcoming gubernatorial primary in Osun state.
The screening committee who made this known on Friday said senator Iyiola Omisore and the other six members did not provide substantial evidence of sponsorship to show they are fully registered.
The committee further noted that the disqualified aspirants do not have financial update of party members from each local government in Osun state as outlined in article 9.3(I) and 31 .2(ii) of the All Progressives Congress constitution.

Former Osun state deputy governor Mr. Benedict Alabi, Mr. Dotun Babayemi, senator Babajide Omoworare , Mr. Kunle Adegoke , SAN and Mr. Babatunde Orelusi were also among those screened out by the committee.
In the same vain, the APC national screening committee has cleared two other aspirants which were Mrs. Mulikat Jimoh and Alhaji Munirudeen Oyebamiji to contest in the forthcoming governorship primary scheduled to hold on 13th December, 2025.
