Following the road accident that occurred in Ibadan on Tuesday, four persons have been confirmed dead, while several others injured.
Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Oyo State Command, Mrs Rosemary Alo who confirmed the casualties said, two of the victims who were earlier hospitalised later passed away while receiving treatment.
According to a statement from the Corps, the deceased included three adult males and one adult female.
Mrs Alo in the Statement added that, post-accident assessment was carried out in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force, Mapo Division, where the Divisional Police Officer also confirmed the additional deaths.
Mrs Alo said efforts were ongoing to manage the aftermath of the crash, while investigations into the cause of the accident continue.
It would be recalled that the accident which reportedly involved Tanker Truck occurred on Bere-Oje Road in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
