The All Progressives Congress, APC, has denied reports circulating on social media claiming the release of the prices for expression of interest and nomination forms ahead of the 2027 General Election describing the reports as completely false and misleading to the public.
This denial comes amid various unverified claims about high nomination fees, such as ₦200 million for presidential forms, that have been circulating online.
The Party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mr Felix Morka made this known in a statement, clarifying that the party has not taken any decision, nor has any announcement been made, regarding the sale or pricing of nomination forms for the 2027 polls.
According to the statement, the report is FAKE and did not emanate from the Party.
“To be clear, no decision or announcement has been made on the sale or pricing of forms for the 2027 elections. The report is a mere figment of the writer’s mischievous imagination.” the statement adds.
The APC urged its members, the media, and the general public to disregard the report entirely and avoid being misled by such fabricated claims, which appear to have been spreading on social media platforms in recent days.
