A heavy downpour accompanied by storm which lasted more than one hour in Osogbo, Ọsun State and its environs on Saturday night has wreaked havoc in some areas with victims counting their losses.
Reports say, several buildings were destroyed in the rainstorm.
According to the reports, an unidentified truck driver was trapped for almost an hour after a billboard fell on his vehicle during the rainstorm.
The truck driver was reportedly coming from the Gbongan–Ibadan road around eight ‘o’ in the evening when the billboard suddenly collapsed on his vehicle.
Witnesses said, it took the combined efforts of people in the area to rescue the trapped driver from the vehicle.
