Five students of Ekiti State University (EKSU) have sustained various degrees of injuries in a lone accident which occurred along Ado-Iworoko Ekiti, Ekiti State on Monday.
Those who witnessed the accident confirmed to newsmen that the accident occurred as a result of over speeding
The eyewitnesses who maintained that the Lexus car having hit a solar light pole along the route summersaulted severally before it could stop.
They said one of the students allegedly drove the brand new Lexus car with registration number KRD 410 KL with learner learner poster on the new car
While the affected students have been taken to Ekiti State Teaching Hospital for urgent medical attention, stakeholders have called on government at all levels to do something in order to prevent young students with learner plate to drive on the high ways.
They said this will go a long way to checkmate reckless driving on major roads
