As orientation camps for Batch A, Stream II open nationwide for prospective corps members, the authority of National Youth Service Corps, NYSC has announced that there would be a change in the orientation schedule for corps members posted to Enugu and Osun States.
According to a statement made available to newsmen by the scheme’s Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, on Monday, the orientation course for the affected states will now start on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, and conclude on Monday, May 18, 2026.
Mrs Embu who noted in the statement that the adjustment in date is to afford the governments of the states to complete ongoing extensive renovations of the orientation camps, maintained that the development necessitated a slight shift in the timetable to ensure that facilities are in proper condition before the arrival of corps members.
Mrs Embu said that the change only affected Enugu and Osun states respectively while the schedule for other states remains unchanged.
Recall that the scheme had issue call-up letters to the affected corps members to serve their father’s land for a period of one year between 2026 and 2027.
