A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has convicted a Former Minister of Power, Mr Saleh Mamman on allegations of money laundering.
The Presiding Judge, Justice James Omotosho, convicted Mamman on all 12 counts charge preferred against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Justice Omotosho held that he was satisfied that the Anti-graft Agency had successfully established the former Minister’s culpability beyond a reasonable doubt.
Meanwhile, the defendant, Saleh Mamman was absent in Court when he was convicted.
Consequently, the court issued a warrant for his arrest and deferred his sentencing to May 13, this year.
