Osun State Police Command has apprehended three suspected Inter – State kidnapping syndicates.
They are;Nasir Yahya,Umar Yahya and Umaru Adamu.
The Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Gotan disclosed this while briefing Newsmen at the State Police Headquarters in Osogbo.
He said earlier in May the complainant reported at Ijebu-jesa police station that while he was at his cattle garden along Iloko area, Ijebu-jesa, about six armed men invaded his farm and abducted one Yahaya Sulaimon .
Mr. Gotan stated that based on his order, the case was subsequently transferred to the Anti-kidnapping unit of the command for more discreet investigation.
He stressed that investigation carried out by the section led to the arrest of two other suspects Nasir Yahaya in Ajase, kwara state and Umaru Yahaya in Sabo-Ibodi, Ilesa in connection with the kidnapping incident.
Mr. Gotan added that investigation is in progress to arrest other suspects connected to the crime.
Weapons recovered from the Suspects are locally fabricated Automatic Gun and Three live Cartridges.
