Following his landslide victory in the just concluded presidential primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to officially receive the party’s certificate of return and flag as its candidate for the 2027 presidential election.
The presentation ceremony is scheduled to hold on Sunday at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja.
The event is expected to attract top party leaders and supporters from across the country.According to party officials, the APC Presidential Primary Elections Committee will formally hand over the certificate and party flag to President Tinubu after the nationwide collation of results from the primary election.
Several prominent members of the ruling party are expected at the ceremony, including APC governors, members of the National Executive Committee (NEC), the National Working Committee (NWC), lawmakers from the National Assembly, and other party stalwarts.
The event is seen as a major step in the party’s preparations for the 2027 general election, as the APC moves to rally support behind President Tinubu ahead of the polls.
