Democracy Day: Eniayewu Urges Nigerians To Remain Hopeful

As Nigerians celebrate Democracy Day, Oyo State House of assembly candidate for Lagelu State Constituency, Oluwafemi Eniayewu, has called on Nigerians to remain hopeful and steadfast in their belief in the country’s democratic process.

Eniayewu made the appeal while speaking with journalists in Akobo, where he reflected on the significance of Democracy Day and the need for citizens to continue supporting efforts aimed at strengthening democratic institutions.

According to him, despite the economic and social challenges facing the nation, Nigerians should not lose faith in the country’s ability to overcome its difficulties through unity, responsible leadership, and active civic participation.

He noted that Democracy Day serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by past heroes who fought for the nation’s democratic journey, urging citizens to honour their legacy by promoting peace, tolerance, and respect for the rule of law.

The Oyo State house of assembly Accord lawmaker hopeful also encouraged young people to remain engaged in governance and contribute positively to nation-building, stressing that the future of the country depends largely on the commitment of its citizens.

Eniayewu expressed optimism that Nigeria would achieve greater progress and development if leaders at all levels remain accountable and responsive to the needs of the people.

He wished Nigerians a peaceful and memorable Democracy Day celebration and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that would improve the welfare and living standards of the people of Lagelu and beyond.
