In a bid to further strengthen policing operations in the south west geo political zone of Nigeria, the Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Supervising DIG for the South-West Geopolitical Zone,Mr Fayoade Adegoke, has commenced his official tour of duty , visiting Oyo State as his first place of tour.
Mr. Fayoade in his first tour to Oyo State on Monday met with senior officers, stakeholders at the State Police Command Headquarters, Eleyele, Ibadan. The DIG noted that his visit was part of directive from the Inspector General of Police to enhance security of lives and property through collaboration following reported cases of abductions in the south west.
Welcoming the delegation, The commissioner of police in oyo state, Mr Olugbenga Ayodeji described the visit as timely, noting that it would further strengthen the partnership between the Police and the public while reinforcing the Command’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property.
DIG Adegoke who commended officers of the Oyo State police command for their relentless efforts towards sustaining the core values of the Nigeria police force ,expressed satisfaction with the operational commitment and discipline displayed so far interns of upholding rule of law
He charged residents to continue supporting the Police with timely and credible intelligent informatiion that could help in sustaining security in Oyo State
DIG Fayoade directed the Command to intensify more operations through strategic deployment of personnel and resources to identified flashpoints to flush out criminals and terrorists from their hideouts
