The All Progressives Congress, APC Governorship Candidate in Oyo State, Senator Sharafadeen Alli has expressed sorrow over the reported death of Alhaji Teslim Ajimobi, describing it as a painful loss to Oyo State and the progressive family.
Alli, in a condolence message issued in Ibadan on Friday, described the deceased as a calm, respectful and supportive personality who lived a life of simplicity, humility and compassion.
The APC Governorship Candidate said that the death of the late former Chairman of Ibadan South-East Local Government was heartbreaking and deeply painful, considering his commitment to the progress of the party and development of his community.
He noted that the deceased remained loyal to the ideals of progressive politics and maintained cordial relationships with people across political and social divides.
“Coming six years after the passing of his elder brother, former Gov. Abiola Ajimobi, this is indeed another trying moment for the family and all of us in the progressive fold,” Alli said.
He condoled with the Ajimobi family, political associates and residents of Ibadan South-East Local Government over the unfortunate incident.
Alli prayed to Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased and grant him Aljanah Firdaus.
