Death toll from the devastating earthquakes that struck Venezuela earlier this week has increased to at least 1,430, according to the country’s National Assembly President, Jorge Rodríguez.
The country authority confirmed that more than 3,200 people have been injured, while over 3,100 families have been displaced after losing their homes to the ugly incident.
Rescue teams continue to search for survivors trapped beneath collapsed buildings, but their efforts have not yeilded much efforts as there were not much instruments to carry out the rescue operations.
Officials explained that Vanuzuala has recorded at least 430 aftershocks since the two powerful earthquakes which happened on Wednesday.
International aids have continued to rise for Venezuela, with more than 1,600 rescuers from several countries arriving aboard 17 flights ass additional rescues continue.
