The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja has called for peace among various parties involved in the clash that occurred at Ojoo Area, Ibadan, Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State.
In a statement by his media aide, Chief Adeola Oloko, Oba Ladoja urged residents to embrace peaceful co-existence among the various ethnic groups in Ibadanland, describing peace and unity as tools for development.
The Monarch, who did not rule out the possibility of minor disagreement in human existence and relationship, enjoined the various parties concerned to tread with caution in view of the current security situation in Nigeria.
He reminded the people of Ibadan that many Nigerians have come to see Ibadan as home, regardless of religious, ethnic and ideological persuasion.
The Olubadan expressed profound gratitude to security agencies, particularly the Nigeria Police for prompt intervention that culminated to normalcy in the area.
