A Judicial Commission of Inquiry to investigate the abduction of students and teachers at Esinele and Yawota communities in Oriire Local Government Area of the state has been commissioned.
The Commission, set up by the Oyo State Government, consists of an eight-member panel .
It is to be chaired by retired Justice of the Court of Appeal, Professor Mojeed Owoade, while Professor Jibril Ibrahim, Mrs. Ayo Obe, Retired Engr. Ngozi Onadeko, Dr. Abimbola Orogade, Retired Major General Sanusi Nasir Muazu and Mr Folorunsho Osunrayi will serve as commissioners.
Mrs. Olamide Sandra Tella will serve as the Secretary to the commission.
In a statement by Commissioner of Information in Oyo State,Prince Dotun Oyelade, Governor Seyi Makinde was quoted appreciating the panelists for taking up the job.
”I called you out on a national assignment and none of the 8 of you hesitated for once to accept to participate in this important call to duty, God bless you” . Makinde noted..
Recall that after release of the abducted pupils and their teachers,there have been many concerns over the transparency of the ordeal.
