Personnel of the Osun State police command have arrested the state commissioner for Environment and Sanitation, Mr. Mayowa Adejoorin , noting that his arrest was base on an alleged directive from the Inspector General of Police.
Mr. Pelumi Olajengbesi, the spokesman for Imole campaign who disclosed this to newsmen in Osogbo on Saturday said the police also apprehended Governor Ademola Adeleke campaign leader in Obokun local government without any traceable offence.
Mr Olajengbesi while briefing the newsmen called on the inspector general of police to order for the immediate release of the arrested commissioner, maintained that abduction and arrest of innocent citizens must be stopped.
He added that voters in Osun State should be allowed to exercise their franchise as governorship election in the state comes up on Saturday
