Accord Chieftain, Chief Peter Taiwo Ogundeji, popularly known as APATA, has cast his vote in Unit 2, Ward 6, Ola, Ejigbo Local Government Area of Osun State.
Chief Ogundeji arrived at his polling unit on Agurodo Road, Ola, where he completed the accreditation process before casting his ballot at exactly 10:35 a.m.
Speaking with journalists shortly after voting, the Accord chieftain described the voter turnout as impressive, expressing satisfaction with the level of participation by residents in the electoral process.
Chief Ogundeji particularly commended the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for what he described as a seamless voting process, noting that the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System, BVAS, worked perfectly at his polling unit.
He said the smooth operation of the BVAS allowed eligible voters to complete the accreditation process and cast their ballots without unnecessary difficulties.
Beyond his immediate polling unit, the peaceful conduct of the exercise was also reported across all eight polling units in Ola town, with voters participating calmly and orderly.
The politician urged voters to maintain the peaceful atmosphere throughout the exercise and allow the electoral process to run its course without disruption.
He also expressed confidence in the ability of the electorate to make their choices freely, peacefully and in accordance with their conscience.
