The Oyo State Accord Party House of Assembly candidate for Lagelu State Constituency, Honourable Oluwafemi Eniayewu, has urged Christians to remain focused and committed to the race set before them, stressing the need to avoid distractions that could derail their spiritual journey.
Eniayewu gave the charge on Sunday while delivering a sermon at Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Cannanland, Akobo, Ibadan, where he encouraged the faithful to remain steadfast in their faith and maintain their commitment to God.
The politician and engineer cautioned Christians against distractions capable of making them lose focus in their journey towards heaven.
He emphasised the importance of perseverance, discipline and unwavering faith in achieving their spiritual goals.
Speaking on his chances of winning the 2027 Lagelu State Constituency election, Eniayewu said he was confident in the ability of God to make victory possible.
He, however, acknowledged that the support and votes of constituents would play a significant role in determining the outcome of the election.
He therefore appealed to eligible voters in the constituency to come out en masse on election day and vote for the Accord Party, noting that the party would be clearly displayed on the ballot paper.
