The Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ FRCN Ibadan Chapel has mourned the passage of one of its executives , Comrade Olalekan Olayiwola who passed on in the early hour of Thursday
Comrade Lekan Olayiwola,until his death was the financial secretary of the chapel
A statement jointly signed by the chairman and secretary of the Union Comrades Olawale Asake and Oluwakayode Banjo described the late astute broadcast journalist as a committed Unionist and valued member of the Chapel who contributed immensely to the growth, unity and administration of the Union during his lifetime.
The union in the statement explained that the death of the late comrade would no doubt create a painful vacuum within the Chapel and the wider journalism community.
It extended heartfelt condolences to the immediate family, friends, colleagues and associates whom he left behind
The Nigeria Union of Journalists ,FRCN Chapel prayed to God to grant the family and friends of the deceased strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
Comrade Olalekan Quadri Olayiwola worked with Federal radio cooperation of Nigeria, Amuludun 99.1 FM , Moniya ,Ibadan before his death.
