Former Vice President and member of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar on Tuesday paid a congratulatory visit to the residence of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
Alhaji Abubakar who led a delegation that comprises Former Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El Rufai, former Governor of Cross River State, Senator Liyel Imoke, Former Senate President, Senator Iyorchia Ayu, was welcomed with a rousing reception.
Former Vice President Abubakar said, the Coronation of Oba Rashidi Ladoja was historic, stressing that Ibadan would experience peace and development during the reign of Oba Ladoja.
He later handed over a letter of congratulations to the Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Responding, The 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja who appreciated the visit, maintained that he would use his reign and the rest of his life to serve Ibadan people, Oyo State, Yorubaland and Nigeria at large.
Oba Ladoja reiterated his promise to make everybody proud as the Olubadan of the Ancient City, by ensuring fair and just to all, adding that, he is no longer a politician but father of all irrespective of political affiliations, religion, tribe and gender.
