Oyo APC Chairman Charges Aspirants On Peaceful Conduct Of Primaries||Condemns Invasion Of Party Secretariat By Hoodlums

The Chairman, Oyo State All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Moses Alake Adeyemo, has urged Aspirants into various Political offices in the State to exhibit moral conduct before, during and after the Primary Election slated for Friday Nationwide, saying that anything contrary will not be tolerated by the leadership of the Party.

Chief Adeyemo stated this while addressing the Aspirants at a stakeholders’ meeting held at the APC Secretariat, Oke-Ado, Ibadan, Oyo State Capital.

According to a Statement from the Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Olawale Sadare, the meeting was called to discuss the modalities for the conduct of the direct primary in some federal constituencies where more than one aspirant has been cleared for participation in the process while affirmation would be done in places where consensus option has been adopted.

In the meantime, the leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo state has strongly condemned the activities of some sponsored hoodlums who besieged the Party Secretariat on Monday and caused pandemonium as unsuspecting leaders and members had run for dear lives to escape attacks and harassment.

The hoodlums who reportedly unleashed terror on members of the state executive committee, staff and others who were present at the Secretariat, were armed with dangerous weapons and charms as they came in high numbers to carry out their nefarious acts.

The attacks, which reportedly lasted for about two hours, damaged private cars and the Secretariat building as windshield, tyres, office windows, doors among other things were shattered.

The Party’s Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Sadare, said the situation had been brought under perfect control, noting to that the matter had been reported to the security agents and investigations have already begun.
