Rescue Of Oriire Pupils: Sen Alli Hails President Tinubu, Security Agencies, Says Criminals Will Never Defeat Nigeria

The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Oyo State, Senator (Dr) Sharafadeen Alli, has commended President Bola Tinubu and the nation’s security agencies for the successful rescue of the abducted pupils and teachers of Oriire Local Government Area.

Alli, in a statement issued on Friday in Ibadan, also praised the arrest of eight suspected kidnappers and the neutralisation of some members of the criminal gang during the rescue operation.

The APC governorship candidate described the operation as a major victory against criminality, applauding the feat as a demonstration of the renewed commitment of President Tinubu’s administration to safeguarding lives and property across the country.

He said that the successful operation had rekindled hope among Nigerians that the security architecture under the Tinubu administration was becoming more proactive, intelligence-driven and result-oriented.

The Lawmaker said the swift response by the security agencies and the eventual rescue of the victims reflected the effectiveness of inter-agency collaboration in combating insecurity.

“The successful rescue of these innocent pupils and their teachers is heartwarming and reassuring. I commend President Bola Tinubu for providing the leadership and political will required to confront criminal elements head-on.

“I equally salute the gallant officers and men of all the security agencies whose professionalism, courage and sacrifice made the operation successful.

“The arrest of eight kidnappers and the neutralisation of others send a strong message that criminals have no hiding place and that crime will never triumph over the collective resolve of our nation,” he said.

Senator Alli urged security agencies not to relent until every member of the criminal syndicate responsible for the abduction was apprehended and brought to justice.

He also called for diligent prosecution of the arrested suspects to serve as a deterrent to others engaged in kidnapping and other violent crimes.

The APC candidate expressed gratitude that the abducted pupils and teachers regained their freedom safely, praying for their quick recovery from the traumatic experience.

He urged residents of Oyo State and Nigerians to continue supporting security agencies with credible and timely information, stressing that security remained a collective responsibility.

Alli reaffirmed his commitment to supporting policies and initiatives that would strengthen security, protect lives and create a peaceful environment for socio-economic development in Oyo State and across Nigeria.
