Menace Of Out-Of-School Children Requires Urgent Attention – Prof. Sabit Olagoke

All tiers of Government have been urged to join hands to immediately address the issue of out-of-school children, provide access to vocation training, and prioritize sports in order to discover the potential embedded in children.
The Founder and Spiritual Head, Shafaudeen in Islam Worldwide, Professor Sabitu Olagoke made the call at a sports event marking the beginning of Ishrat 2025, organized in commemoration of the 20th Annual Inter-House Sports Competition of Shafaudeen Group of Schools held at Christ Church Primary School, Wakajaye, Iyana Church, Ibadan, Oyo State.
The Competition was out of Professor’s Olagoke love for children and his passion in bringing out the best in them with the core aim of discovering their potential talents.
In his address, the Founder of Shafaudeen in Islam and a Retired Lecturer at the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, Ogun State, Professor Sabitu Olagoke highlighted key roles the environment, parents and government play in the upbringing of children.
He also stressed the importance of complementing western education given to the children with Islamic knowledge, saying the two will guide the Children on the best way to live their lives.
While stating the need to tame the hostile environments for easy parenting, Professor Olagoke added that, good governance was needed in preparing children for leadership role in the Society.
The event featured activities like, Presentation of awards, March past, parades, race, picking the balls, filling the bottle, relay race among invited schools, parents including staff of Shafaudeen group of schools, among other sports activities.
At the end of the Competition, Purple House took 1st position with 104 points, followed by Blue House with 90 points, while Green House and White House took the 3rd and 4th positions respectively.
