Just In: 27 Year Old Man Arrested For Stealing Goats In Ogun

A 27 year old suspect, Emmanuel Awahnse, popularly called Ariwo Oja has been apprehended by the Ogun State Community Social and Orientation Safety Corps codenamed So- Safety Corps for stealing goats
Awanshe was arrested at a church in Ipokia Area of Ogun State, while celebrating the naming ceremony of his child.
The Corps State Commander, Dr Soji Ganzallo in a statement made available to newsmen on Friday through its Director of Information and Public Relations, Mr Adegunwa Adegbuyi said that on February 6, 2026, officers of the Corps attached to Ifonyintedo Division, while on routine patrol, sighted the suspect and an accomplice about 5am on a motorcycle on transit with black bag containing unidentified items along Madoga, Ita-Ege road.
Dr. Ganzallo explained that the suspects escaped leaving behind the bag and motorcycle, and during the search of the bag, the Corps discovered discovered three goats.
He said the suspect admitted to the crime in the cause of interrogation and confessed that he stole the goats alongside one Ketonsu, a.k.a Ijagun, at Ifonyintedo Area of Ogun State
The So-Safety commander maintained that the suspect and all the recovered exhibits had been transferred to the Nigeria Police Force, Idiroko Division and would be made to face the full wrath of the law after investigation.
