Governor Oyebanji Signs High Court Law, 2 Others In Ekiti

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji has signed into law three bills recently passed by the state House of Assembly .
The bills are High Court Law 2024, Ekiti State Property Protection Law 2024 and Ekiti State Legislative House Law 2024.
The High Court Law is to enhance the efficiency and accessibility of the judicial system; the Ekiti State property protection law will safely guide unlawful land acquisition, protect the rights of citizens and promote fair ownership, while the Ekiti State Legislative House Law seeks to ensure the integrity and independent of legislation from undue interference.
Governor Oyebanji, after the signing, thanked the lawmakers and his cabinet members for their support of his administration in the last two years, saying without their cooperation, he would not have recorded all the laudable fits achieved across all sectors of the states.
He said the signing of the bills into law signified another pivotal step towards ensuring effective governance, safeguarding the citizens’ rights, as well as promoting socio-economic development.
Earlier, the speaker of the state House of Assembly, Mr Adeoye Aribasoye, expressed confidence that the bills would address critical issues in the society, with a call for collective responsibility of all stakeholders to ensure that the law is effectively enforced so that the objectives could be realized.
