FG :Lagos-Calabar coastal highway Contract,A Reality To Boost National Economy

The Federal Government has dismissed insinuations that the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway is another mere political contract but a reality to boost the economy of the states within the highway and the nation.
The minister of works , Mr David Umahi stated this during a stakeholders engagement on the alignment of Ondo state 63 kilometre part of the road at the government house Akure.
Mr Umahi who praised President Bola Tinubu for his foresight and demanded support from all Nigerians for the realization,said the road which cut across seven states was targeted at ensuring good, efficient,easier means of transportation along the coastal line and bridge the gap between the western and southern Nigeria.
Responding Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa who was excited at the project said his administration would cooperate with the federal government to make the historic Lagos -Calabar coastal road a reality.
Earlier, Chairman house of representatives committee on works Mr Akin Alabi said the road project would not be business as usual which contractors would abandon but the committee would ensure constant monitoring for quality delivery.
Two sons of the area the deputy speaker Ondo state house of assembly Mr Abayomi Akinruntan and Mr Banji Okuomo pledged peaceful atmosphere for the project to be hitch free.
