Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has expressed openness to support from the United States in efforts to enhance the well-being of the state’s residents.

Governor Abiodun, represented by his Deputy, Mrs Noimot Salako-Oyedele, made this known on while receiving U.S. Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Richard Mills, during a courtesy visit at the Governor’s Office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

The governor highlighted that over the past five years, his administration has made substantial investments in empowering the people, in line with his vision to improve their lives and living standards.

Abiodun emphasized that his administration has committed significant resources to infrastructure development and has introduced policies that foster a business-friendly environment, attracting considerable foreign investment into the state.

He said notable among these investments is the Agro-Cargo Airport, designed to support various sectors of the state’s economy and facilitate seamless import and export operations for industries within the region.

In response, Ambassador Mills commended Ogun State for its dynamic business and economic landscape, noting the substantial presence of American investments.

Mills further shared insights gained from discussions with state officials, promising initiatives in support of small businesses, women entrepreneurs, and various investment opportunities in Ogun State.
