Australian University Honours Oyo F.A Chairman, Oba James Odeniran with Doctorate Degree

Australia University has conferred the Oyo State Football Association Boss, His Royal Higness, Alakinyele of Akinyele, Oba James Oluyemi Odeniran with a Honourary Doctorate Degree in Community Development.
It is gratifying to state that the International Peace and Conflict Management University (IPCMI),Kingdom of Flourishland Australia in Collaboration with Women’s Effect Initiative International continue to beam its searchlight internally and Internationally to identify and honour distinguished personalities found worthy to be conferred with the recognition as Professors Emeritus and Honorary Doctorate Degrees.
The Prestigious Academic honour, awarded on the 26th December, 2024 bestowed by the special approval of the Board of Trustees and Directors, is in recognition of the the former FIFA badge Referee for his dedication and extraordinary contributions to society in the fields of Community Development and grassroot initiatives.
The award also recognizes Odeniran’s unwavering dedication to empowering young people, fostering inclusive communities, and driving positive change. His exceptional achievements in youth development have been instrumental in shaping the lives of countless individuals across the federation.
His engagement with young people equally falls in tandem with the vision of Peace and Conflict Management University of Australia who remains committed to his agenda of appreciating outstanding individuals with large heart to commitment to social justice and his ability to inspire young people to reach their full potential. This has made him a driving force behind the government’s efforts to empower the youth and build a brighter future for the nation.
In accepting the prestigious award, the member of Referee Appointment Committee expressed deep gratitude to IPCMI, Women’s Effect Initiative International, the Board of Trustees, and the University community for their recognition of his work. He emphasized that the honor is not a merriment but a catalyst to challenging him to do more for the community and the nation as a whole. The former Board Member of the NFF added that it’s not solely for him but for the entire nation, as it reflects the collective efforts of Oyo FA, Akinyele Community the government, and the countless individuals who have supported his endeavors.
The former Chairman of Nigeria Referee Council pledged to continue his work towards building a brighter future for Nigeria’s youth, and to inspire others to strive for excellence in Community and leadership development. He expressed the belief that by working together, Nigeria can thrive and become a country where every young person has the opportunity to realize his dreams and contribute meaningfully to the betterment of the nation.
Eminent personality graced the occasion, Council of Obas, traditional chiefs, Members of Oyo FA, Nigeria Referee Association members, Oyo State Council, immediate past GM, Oyo State Sports Council, Gboyega Makinde, Captains of Industry, Member of Oyo state House of Assembly representing Akinyele Local Government among others.
