Increasing Reports Of Missing People Put Police On Toes In Ogun

The Ogun State Police Command has alerted the public over an unprecedented increase in reports of missing individuals across all age groups in the state.
In a statement in Abeokuta, the Ogun state Police Public Relations Officer, Ms Omolola Odutola, regretted that only a small fraction of the missing individuals were located, while a significant number never returned home.
She explained that the command, as part of efforts to tackle the trend has begun public awareness on the need for people to prioritize their safety by maintaining a heightened sense of security.
The Ogun Police spokesperson noted that based on insights from rescued individuals, the Commissioner of Police has appealed to parents to refrain from using unknown commercial transporters to take their children to and from their destinations .
He also encouraged youths to activate digital communication and sharing features on their mobile devices while traveling, especially during moments of distress.
