Efunwole Town Agog As Baale Adepoju Installs Chiefs

All roads led to Efunwole Town on Saturday, 26th of July, 2025 as Elefunwole of Efunwole in Egbeda Local Government Area of Oyo State, Baale Rasheed Afolarin Adepoju held an Iwuye Ceremony to commemorate his installation as Baale of the Community and installation of four Chiefs that will join him in his bid to develop the town to an enviable one.
The Iwuye Ceremony which was glitzy and full of pomp, took place on Saturday, July 26, 2025 in Efunwole Town, brought together dignitaries from far and near who turned out in their large number to honour Baale Adepoju for being a visionary community and traditional leader.
The newly installed Chiefs are, Chief Mojirayo Eruobodo as Otun Iyalode of Efunwole, Chief Olaoye Mufutau as Agbaakin Efunwole, Chief Monsuru Olajide as Ashipa Efunwole and Chief Olusegun Ogunranti as the Mayegun of Efunwole.
While performing the installation, the Representatives of Egbeda Local Government Traditional Council, maintained that the choice of the new Chiefs was based on their contributions towards the growth and development of Efunwole and Ibadanland, urging them to see their titles as a challenge to do more for the Society.
Speaking at the ceremony, Elefunwole of Efunwole, Baale Rasheed Adepoju who was flanked by his Queen, Mrs Moromoke Adepoju, reiterated the importance of the Installation, which, according to him, forms part of the decision-making body in directing the affairs of the town into greatness.
He enjoined the new Chiefs to work together for unity, peace and development of Efunwole Town, stressing that, they should always refrain from any act that can tarnish the image of the Community and Ibadan in general.
At the occasion were Mogaji Efunwole, Wakil Akintayo Akindele, Families, Children and Wellwishers of Baale Adepoju and the new Chiefs.
It would be recalled that the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadanland, late Ọba Lekan Balogun officially installed Baale Rasheed Afolarin Adepoju as the Baale of Efunwole in February, 2023.
