Veteran Nollywood Actor, Baba Gebu is Dead

Veteran actor, Oyewole Olowomojuore, popularly known as Baba Gebu, has died.

An actor and filmmaker Kunle Afod broke the news of his death on Wednesday through a post on Instagram . Kunle Afod revealed that the veteran thespian died on Tuesday after a brief illness.

In a message, Kunle Afod lauded Baba Gebu as a  legend whose contributions to the Nigerian film industry, especially Yoruba-language cinema, would always be remembered.

He said the deceased left an indelible legacy for all upcoming actors .

“Baba Gebu had a long and distinguished career spanning several decades, featuring in numerous Yoruba film productions and mentoring many rising stars in the industry”he said
