APC Flags Off Campaign in Ondo Ahead of Governorship Election

All progressive congress, APC, in Ondo state has Flagged off its governorship election campaign in the State’s central senatorial district .
The colourful ceremony held at Ondo township stadium brought together members of the party across the state .
Addressing the people , Governor Aiyedatiwa who was elated with the large turnout of members promised not to abandon any inherited project and would also improve other sectors such as agriculture and rural road construction to ease produce transportation .
Governor Aiyedatiwa disclosed that his administration initiated the amotekun rangers, provided vehicles to security agencies to help in fighting crimes and protect farmers while renovation projects continued in primary and secondary schools to make the learning environment more conducive for children.
The governor also announced payment of seventy three thousand naira minimum wage and regular promotion exercise.
The campaign director general and the member representing Ondo East/West federal constituency Mr Abiola Makinde , the speaker Ondo state house of assembly Mr Olamide Oladiji urged the people to mobilize for the party victory.
The commissioner for women affairs, Mrs Fola Fagbemi commended governor Aiyedatiwa for his transformational policies in the area of health, education, security and infrastructural development and called on people in the State to vote Governor Ayedatiwa.
A two term house of representatives member who represented Ilaje/Ese odo federal constituency and a former PDP governorship aspirant Mr Kolade Akinjo said his decision to support governor Aiyedatiwa was to ensure continuity and rapid development in the state.
Governor Ayedatiwa later proceeded to the palace of the Osemawe of Ondo Oba Victor Kiladejo to receive royal blessings.
Party chieftains among the campaign train included State Party chairman , Mr Ade Adetimehin, Former governorship aspirant , Chief Olusola Oke, Mr Ade Adeogun and others.
