Osun state House of Assembly Probes Gov Adeleke’s Road Projects

Osun state House of Assembly has commenced the inspection of all road projects embarked on by the Governor of the State, Senator Ademola Adeleke,with a call on Contractors to ensure the roads under construction, were completed at the stipulated time.
The inspection exercise which kick-started at Oke-Esho/Oke-Odo road at Odeomu in Ayedaade Local Government, then dovetailed to Uniosun, Ikire Campus Road, Naira and Kobo junction in Irewole Local Government, before it rounded off at Lagbaja area road in Isokan Local Government.
The Chairman House Committee on Works and Transport, Mr.Waheed Abiola led other Legislators in the committee for the road inspection.
Mr. Abiola while addressing Newsmen, noted that the projects are in full gear and a little delay was caused by the rainy season with an expectation that they would be duly completed during the dry season .
“We are on a Federal Constituency tour, where we try to harmonize the good work of his Excellency, Senator Ademola Adeleke, for his infrastructural drive, we are going to ensure that tax-payers money are being put to good use.”Mr Waheed said.
He appealed to the residents of each location of the roads to cooperate with the contractors to attain smooth construction process .
The Director of Highways, State Ministry of works, Engr. David Oladele affirmed that the Contractors have been duly funded hence excuses for slow pace would not be entertained from any contractor.
Engr. Oladele assured that the projects were in capable hands and the roads would be motorable in the next three to four months.
Other committee members present during the inspection exercise were: Mr. Jeremiah Awoyeye, Mr. Lawrence Adeoti and Mr. Oladiran Olatunbosun.
