Ogun Governor Commends FG, Highlights Industrial Advancements and Infrastructure Development

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has commended the federal government for approving the construction of Nigeria Customs facilities within the state. He emphasized that with his administration’s commitment to infrastructure development, Ogun would continue to maintain its position as Nigeria’s industrial hub.
The governor also announced that the Special Agro-Processing Zone at the Gateway International Agro-Cargo Airport would be completed by the third quarter of next year. He described the airport as a state-of-the-art facility poised to become one of the best globally.
Speaking at the 38th Akesan Day celebration at the Apostolic Church Grammar School in Iperu, Ikenne Local Government Area, Governor Abiodun highlighted the critical role the region plays in driving Nigeria’s industrial revolution. He reaffirmed his administration’s focus on implementing people-centered projects to attract investments and improve access across the state.
Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress,APC, praised Governor Abiodun’s leadership, describing him as “living history” dedicated to leaving a lasting legacy in Ogun State.
Similarly, Senate Leader Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, representing Senate President Senator Godswill Akpabio, applauded the governor’s relentless efforts, noting that his second-term performance reflects his commitment to governance and development.
The event, which featured vibrant cultural displays, attracted a distinguished audience, including approximately 50 senators, members of the House of Representatives, traditional rulers, and political leaders.
