Just In: APC Wins Edo Governorship Election

Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has won the Edo State gubernatorial election.
Okpebholo was declared winner of the Saturday poll by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC on Sunday night.
Announcing the results, INEC Returning Office and VC of Federal University of Technology, Minna, professor Faruk Kuta declared that the APC candidate, Okpebholo got 291,667 votes to defeat his closest rival, Asue Ighodalo of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, who polled 247, 274 to come second.
