Osun Budget Defence To Commence In December

The Speaker, Osun State House of Assembly, Prince Adewale Egbedun has disclosed that the Budget Defense exercise for Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDAs ,would commence on 2nd December and last till 13th December.

Prince Egbedun stated this while presiding over the Plenary held at the Assembly Complex, Osogbo.

The Speaker, who noted that the House Committee on Finance and Appropriation would release a template in respect of the Budget Defense exercise for the MDAs, urged Heads of various ministries to get ready relevant documents for the exercise.

Earlier, Member Representing, Irepodun/ Orolu State Constituency, Prince Adekunle Oladimeji presented a Private Member Bill seeking to amend laws establishing the Osun State Broadcasting Corporation, OSBC.

Prince Oladimeji explained that the Bill aimed to increase the nomenclature of the State Broadcast Station, where by the General Managers of the Four Services would be appointed by the State Governor and Shall be the Chief Executives and According officers , responsible for the implementation of the Policies aimed to improve the day to day activities of the Broadcasting Hub.

The Bill titled ” Osun State Broadcasting Corporation Law , Amendment 1 Bill 2024″ , would also create the office of a Vice-chairman and capture the increment in the number of the existing General Managers for the Corporation.

The House also dissolved into the Committee of the whole for further consideration of the Osun State Consumer Protection Agency Establishment Bill,

2024.
