Press Week : Cleric Tasks Journalists On Objective Reportage

The District Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Mountain of Mercy, District Headquarters Ojoo, Ibadan, Oyo State, Pastor Isaiah Alade has admonished Nigerians to stop complaining about the present socio-economic condition of the Country, but engage in meaningful efforts that will bring positive results.
He gave the admonition during the thanksgiving service marking the commencement of the 2024 Press Week of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN Ibadan Chapel held at the Church auditorium.
Pastor Alade, popularly known as Omo Woli, who took his texts from the book of Isaiah 52 verse 7 said, people’s positive attitude to change would give them opportunities to flourish, hence the need to envision rightly and seek divine intervention in all they do.
Pastor Alade urged members of the NUJ, FRCN Ibadan Chapel not to hide from telling the truth, but uphold the ethics of objectivity and balancing of reports before disseminating to the public.
While thanking God for the commencement of this year NUJ FRCN Ibadan Chapel Press Week, the Chairman, Mr. Oluwakayode Banjo said, the Thanksgiving Service was in accordance with the tradition of the Union to commit its activities to the Hands of God.
Present at the Thanksgiving service, were former Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Oyo State Council, who is also the Deputy Director News and Current Affairs, FRCN Ibadan, Mr Adewumi Faniran, Management staff of the News Department, Ibadan Zonal Station and members of the Chapel from Premier FM Dugbe, and Amuludun FM, Moniya, Ibadan.
