The Ogun State Government, through the Ogun State Environmental Protection Agency (OSEPA), has sealed four industries for violating environmental regulations. The affected industries are Fortune Height Farms Limited and Sanda Wood Industry Limited, both located in Odogbolu Local Government Area, Shengceramic Material Limited in Ogere, and Nehemiah Grace Developer Limited in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area.
According to Alhaji Farouk Akintunde, Special Adviser to the Governor on OSEPA, the industries were shut down for discharging untreated effluents into the environment and failing to comply with government directives. Akintunde emphasized that the state government would not tolerate environmental infractions, vowing to enforce environmental laws strictly.
The agency’s action is part of the government’s efforts to promote environmental best practices and protect the state’s ecosystem. The sealed industries will remain closed until they meet the required environmental standards and regulations.
