Tourism: FG Targets 100 Billion Dollars Revenue By 2030

By 2030, Nigeria should be generating over 100 billion dollars revenue through tourism.
This assurance was given by the country’s minister of art, culture, tourism and creative economy, Mrs Hannatu Musawa in Ekiti State.
The minister was in the state for the inauguration of Presidential villa at Ikogosi Warm Springs Resort and Conference Center, Ikogosi-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
While touring the Resort Center which had been renovated by a private company, the minister noted that the federal government intended to partner with States government and the private sector to make the 100 billion dollars revenue target a reality before 2030.
Mrs Musawa said heritage sites across the country including Ikogosi warms spring, where cold and warm water met would serve the purpose and attract tourists, if properly harnessed.
She also noted that President Bola Tinubu’s passion for tourism had been achieved through direct jobs and economy expansion by the resort centre.
The Minister however promised inter-ministerial collaboration to ensure that the access roads to the warm spring were in good shape for seamless tourism experience.
Mrs Musawa expressed satisfaction with the beauty of nature available in the warm spring resort, describing it as world class capable of attracting visitors and urged Nigerians to explore it.
