Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to supporting Oodua Investment Company Limited. The Governor made this statement while receiving the company’s management team on a courtesy visit at his office in Osun State Secretariat Complex, Abere.
Governor Adeleke commended the board and management team for their efficiency, noting that Oodua Investment Company is a legacy corporation that embodies innovation in state leadership. He drew parallels between his administration’s development initiatives and those of the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo, citing projects such as flyovers, road dualization, school upgrades, health facilities, and water schemes.
The Governor promised to study potential areas for investment and participation in the company, ensuring Osun State takes its rightful place in terms of equity participation. Earlier, Oodua Investment Company Chairman, Otunba Bimbola Ashiru, lauded Governor Adeleke’s commitment to good governance, infrastructural development, and economic revitalization.
Otunba Ashiru called for deeper collaboration between the company and the state government in mining and agriculture, highlighting potential benefits such as revenue generation, food security, agro-industrialization, and job creation. The company, owned collectively by six Southwest States, remains committed to driving economic prosperity through strategic investments and partnerships.
