2024 WAFCON: 5 Star Super Falcons Thrash Zambia To Book Semi Final Ticket

Super Falcons of Nigeria on Friday evening demolished the Copper Queens of Zambia 5-0 to advance to the semi finals of the ongoing Women African Cup of Nations, WAFCON in Morocco.
It was a five star performance from the Super Falcons, who got to a flying start when Osinachi Ohale headed home just two minutes after kick off.
Goals from Esther Okoronkwo and Chinwendu Ihezuo gave Nigeria a 3-0 lead in the first half before Tosin Demehin and Folashade Ijamilusi scored the 4th and 5th goals of the game to earn Nigeria a comfortable victory and avenge their defeat to Zambia in the last tournament.
The Super Falcons have now scored nine goals in the tournament so far without conceding.
In the second quarter final fixture played on Friday, Host Nation Morocco defeated Mali 3-1 to join Nigeria in the semi finals.
On Saturday, Algeria will play Ghana, while South Africa will battle Senegal in the last two quarter final fixtures of the tournament.
