No Plan To Close Bola Ige International Business Complex – Oyo Govt

The Oyo State Government says there is no plan to close the Bola Ige International Business Complex, Gbagi, Ibadan on Monday.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Commissioner for Investment, Trade, Cooperatives, and Industry, Adeniyi Adebisi against the backdrop of rumours making the rounds that the market would be closed on Monday.
The Commissioner, while explaining that the claim was unfounded, assured all concerned that the market was not up for closure on Monday .
He described the peddlers of the rumours as mischief makers who intended to cause public tension for personal gains.
He said Bola Ige International Business Complex remained a hub of commercial activities in the state, and reiterated that the government did not contemplate shutting it down.
Adeniyi Adebisi hinted that the government was ready to check unwholesome activities of some shop owners who illegally allocate spaces for petty traders in front of their shops.
In a separate reaction,the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Olajide Okesade, gave assurance that the government had put in place necessary security arrangements to ensure peace and order in the business complex.
