‘A Role Model For Younger Ones’ – NYCN Eulogizes Shina Peller On 4th Year As Ayedero Of Yorubaland

The immediate past Member of House of Representatives from Iseyin/Itesiwaju /Kajola Federal Constituency, Hon. Shina Peller has been described as a good partner in the struggle for youth emancipation and also a role model for the younger ones.
The National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, made this known in a Statement signed by its President, Comrade Solomon Adodo and made available to Journalists while congratulating Hon. Peller on the fourth anniversary of his confermemt as the Ayedero of Yorubaland.
Comrade Adodo maintained that, the Chieftaincy title conferred on Hon. Peller in August, 2021 by the late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adéyẹmí was more than a decoration, but a call to more responsibilities including promotion of peace and nurturing harmony in Yorubaland and beyond.
The NYCN President added that, Hon. Peller in the last four years as Ayedero of Yorubaland has performed notably well in carrying out the task with impactful programmes.
“When the late Alaafin of Oyo conferred this title on you in August 2021, it was more than a decoration, it was a call to responsibility, to guard the peace, nurture harmony and give hope in times of uncertainty,”
Furthermore, Comrade Adodo explained that through Ayedero Peace Tour, Hon Peller was able to visit Zamfara, Kebbi, Sokoto, Niger and other States of the Federation confronting insecurity and engage their traditional rulers, security agencies and youth leaders with a view to promoting peace in the affected region.
While acknowledging Hon. Peller’s profound investment in young Nigerians through the Lead Generation Initiative (LGI), Comrade Adodo stated that thousands of Nigerian youths across the country are equipped with required trainings on leadership, governance, active citizenship and strategic communication.
The Youth Leader praised Hon Peller’s efforts, noting that he is not merely creating followers but actively cultivating a new generation of responsible leaders ready to tackle the challenges facing their country. “That is not politics; it is nation-building,” he asserted, highlighting the importance of fostering a sense of responsibility among youth.
Recall that in 2022, NYCN pronounced and decorated Hon. Shina Peller as its Life Patron, and in 2023, NYCN, Arewa Youth Forum, AYF, Nigeria Youth Alternative Council, NYAC, Nigerian Youth in Politics and others announced him as the Grand Commander of the Nigerian Youth, GCNY.
