Providence Coalition President Niran Adeyoju ‘SDM’ Congratulates Oba Rashidi Ladoja On Coronation As Olubadan Of Ibadanland

Providence Coalition President, Prince Niran Adeyoju SDM, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, following his official coronation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
In a statement released on Friday Elder David oluokun , Prince Adeyoju described Oba Ladoja’s ascension as a “moment of profound historical significance, not only for Ibadanland but for the entire Yoruba land.”
He praised the new monarch’s wealth of experience, statesmanship, and unwavering dedication to the progress of Ibadan.
“On behalf of the Providence Coalition and our entire leadership, I warmly congratulate His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on his well-deserved coronation as the Olubadan of Ibadanland,” Adeyoju said.
“His lifetime of service to the people—as a former governor, elder statesman, and community leader—has demonstrated uncommon wisdom, humility, and a deep commitment to unity.”
The Olubadan stool, one of the most revered traditional institutions in Yorubaland, has now welcomed a monarch known for his progressive ideals and close ties with the grassroots. Oba Ladoja, who previously served as Governor of Oyo State, is widely regarded as a bridge between tradition and modern governance.
Adeyoju noted that the people of Ibadanland are fortunate to have a monarch with such “visionary leadership and cultural depth.”
He also called on all sons and daughters of Ibadan, both at home and in the diaspora, to rally around the new Olubadan to preserve the city’s legacy and ensure sustained development.
“The throne of the Olubadan is more than a cultural symbol; it is a beacon of hope, wisdom, and identity for our people. Oba Ladoja embodies these ideals fully,” the statement added.
