Property Worth Millions of Naira Lost To Fire Incident In Ibadan

Residents in Kosi Koro compound, Oja Igbo area of Ibadan, Oyo State have started counting their losses as properties worth millions of naira were on Sunday destroyed in a fire incident

The incident according to a report affected a six-room residential building in the area

The Chairman of Oyo State Fire Service, Mr Maroof Akinwande who confirmed the incident to newsmen said that men of the Nigeria Police Force from Agudu Division were at the scene to provide security for his men and to prevent further damages witch the fire incident might cause

Mr. Maruf Akinwande explained that the presence of security officers will scare away men of the underworld who might want to take the opportunity to rob victims of the fire incident.

Explaining the cause of the fire incident, Mr Akinwande maintained that the incident was as a result of the gas cooker explosion, noting that no life was loss to the incident
